Documentation for Shooter

The Shooter plugin

The Shooter plugin is easy, at this point there are no setting you have to change. The only thing you have to do is publish the plugin after install in the Joomla! plugin manager.

If you've got Listy installed also you need to make sure the Shooter plugin is listed below the Listy plugin in the Joomla! plugin manager. This will make sure you can Shoot Listy's around like normal content.

The Shooter module

The Shooter module is actually very simple too. The module acts as a sleeping and silent module somewhere on your site and only starts working when he detects a shot at him on page load.

You can publish many modules on various positions in your template to be able to shoot content around when needed. An example would be to publish a Shooter module in the sidebar of your site. Inside the module there is one setting you need to take care of.

In the image below you'll see a parameter called "Keyref" which is where you give the module an id/tag. This Keyref is used in the Shooter tags you'll add to article's:

{shooter::sidebar}Hello shoot me in the sidebar{/shooter}

The Keyref can be anything and has nothing to do with the module position.

The class can be added to the inner shooter div so you can style it with css.

The suffix is the standard Joomla! way to be able to style individual modules.
